How we began: Tina and Rebecca decided it was time the Monterey Peninsula had their kind of food--healthy, wholesome, and delicious. They started by catering out of a rented, professional kitchen, and are now the proud owners of this establishment.
At the Central Avenue Bakery we use organic (whenever possible) and seasonal produce to provide you with a truly delicious meal that nourishes your body and soul. Our cuisine reflects our commitment to ecological and healthful eating principles.
Our facility composts its green waste and uses dishes, silverware, and linens instead of paper products.
We grind our own flours from organic grains for our breads and pastries.
Shopping at local farmer's markets help to reduce fuel consumption and support farmers who share our commitment to responsible farming and living.
Use our free wireless access, play a game of Scrabble or read a book in our wonderful, homey atmosphere.
We are a member of the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce.
We are open daily, 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday, 8 am to 8 pm Saturday, 8 am to 7 pm Sunday. Starting May 29 we will be open until 10 pm, Monday through Saturday.
